Bulgarian short-term experts have carried out a total of eight missions in June and July 2021

Bulgarian short-term experts continue with the implementation of the activities under the Twinning Project "Improvement of external audit and Parliamentary oversight" in the Republic of North Macedonia.                    
 
In June and July 2021, Bulgarian short-term experts have carried out a total of eight missions within the different project activities.        

Five missions were implemented within the activities under Component 1 “Enhanced legal framework relevant to external audit and improved SAO strategic planning”:    
- the second and the third missions under Activity 1.1 “Preparing assessment report on the legal framework of the external audit with proposals for enhancements” were carried out in the period 31.05-01.06.2021 and 28.06-29.06.2021.      
- the second mission under Activity 1.3.1 “Assessment report of law related to auditing of financing of political parties and election campaigns” was implemented in the period 31.05-03.06.2021.
- the first mission under Activity 1.3.2 “Assessment report of law with regards to auditing of public procurement” was carried out in the period 14.07-16.07.2021.        
- the second mission under Activity 1.3.3 “Assessment report of law with regards to new organic budget law – OBL” was implemented in the period 21.06-23.06.2021.     
 
In the period 05.07-08.07.2021, the first mission within Activity 2.5 “Develop guidelines on improved audit quality control and quality assurance processes” under Component 2 “Improved administrative capacities and external audit processes” was carried out.     

Two missions were carried out under Component 4 “Improved external and internal communication and IT and IT audit capacities”:   
- the first mission within Activity 4.5 “Develop rules for internal flow of paper and electronic documentation” was carried out in the period 01.06-03.06.2021.       
- the second mission within Activity 4.6 “Prepare report with recommendations for revising and updating policies and procedures on using SAO web site, communication with relevant stakeholders” was carried out in the period 28.06-30.06.2021.
