Goritsa Grancharova - Kozhareva, Acting President of the Bulgarian National Audit Office, was a guest at the ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of the Republic of Croatia. The Forum was held in the period 20-21 November in Zagreb. It brought together representatives of the academic circles, the legislative and executive authorities in the Republic of Croatia and Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from Central and South-Eastern Europe, including Miloslav Kala, former President of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), and Ľubomír Andrassy, future President of EUROSAI. Among the guests were also the Presidents of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Malta, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia and Kosovo.

The Auditor General of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia - Ivan Klešić, made an assessment of the development of Croatia's SAI since its establishment in 1994, focusing on the institution's role in supporting Croatia's European integration. The accomplishments of the State Audit Office of Croatia were presented in a comprehensive monograph which addressed various aspects of the activity of the Supreme Audit Institution.

Goritsa Grancharova - Kozhareva and Ivan Klešić discussed the opportunities for continuation of the beneficial bilateral cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Croatia. The institutions collaborated successfully in two twinning projects that helped build the administrative capacity of the SAI of the Republic of North Macedonia. Among the discussed issues for future collaboration was conducting a joint audit on migration-related issues.

The performance of IT audit and management of the audit quality in compliance with the new International Standard on Auditing ISSAI 140 will be a topic for future bilateral collaboration between the Bulgarian National Audit Office and the SAI of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was agreed between Goritsa Grancharova - Kozhareva and Hrvoje Tvrtković, Auditor General of the SAI of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
