The history of the Bulgarian National Audit Office comes to life in the center of Sofia

The history of the Bulgarian Audit Office will come to life on Sunday evening, November 9th, on the facade of the Regional History Museum-Sofia.

On the building of the Central Mineral Bath - a cultural landmark in the historical and contemporary center of the capital, lights, dates and images will “race”, events from the most distant and more recent history of the Supreme Audit Office of Bulgaria will fall apart and be rebuilt anew.

The dynamic 3D visual projection will pass through the present of the institution and step into its future, where artificial intelligence is an assistant and ally of the auditor in his professional responsibilities and mission to achieve better management of public funds.

The 3D mapping production is dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian National Audit Office and 30 years since its restoration. The light installation will be broadcast from 17.00 h to 22.00 h in Bulgarian and English languages for the citizens and guests of the city.

On the occasion of the two anniversaries, an international conference "Artificial Intelligence and IT Audit in Safeguarding of the Public Resources" will be held the next day, November 10th, 2025.

The conference will be attended by the Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, ministers, Presidents of Supreme Audit Institutions from Europe, heads of Bulgarian state institutions in the financial sector and professional organizations.
