The National Assembly elected Valery Apostolov and Tsvetan Tsvetkov Vice-Presidents of the National Audit Office

The National Assembly elected Valery Apostolov and Tsvetan Tsvetkov  Vice-Presidents of the National Audit Office. They were  nominated by the NAO President Prof. Valeriy Dimitrov. 102 voted “for”, 5 “against” and 6 abstained from voting.

The newly elected vice-presidents were sworn in before the Members of Parliament.

The President and the two Vice-Presidents constitute the NAO leadership team, which was elected in accordance with the new National Audit Office Act adopted in the end of 2010.

The mandate of the NAO Members elected under the repealed NAO Act  is terminated.

Prior to this election, Valery Apostolov was a Member of the NAO and Head of Audit Department 6. Tsvetan Tsvetkov headed the Internal Audit Unit at the NAO.
